The Frostback Basin zone storyline is more robust and more well-designed than the questlines in any other zone, perhaps because the team had a lot more practice by the time they designed it. The meat of the Jaws of Hakkon storyline is about uncovering the motivations of a cult that’s overrun Frostback Basin, which is a sort of Dinosaur Island zone inhabited by Vikings. It adds a whole new zone, Frostback Basin, which, if I’m being completely honest, is by far the most fun and most interesting zone in the game. Of all the Dragon Age Inquisition DLC, Jaws of Hakkon is almost certainly the most worthwhile. Jaws of Hakkon – Dragon Age Inquisition DLC I wouldn’t buy it on its own, but it’s great content even though it’s not much content, and the new equipment it adds is top notch. Ultimately, I think so, but I’d say its value is more like $7.99-$8.99. So if you plan to play the game more than once and want all the best gear in the game, Trespasser is a must. The best Mage staff, DPS Warrior greatsword and Archery Rogue bow schematics are all found in the Trespasser DLC. Installing Trespasser also adds a fairly large amount of powerful accessories throughout the normal campaign, such as the Amulet of Renewal that drops off of Ishmael in Suledin Keep only if Trespasser is installed. In truth, the best thing about Trespasser is it features a number of unique, powerful endgame schematics that can be carried over to a New Game+ for a significantly more powerful Inquisitor on a second playthrough. Its biggest draw is its story elements, but if I’m being honest, you can just watch a recap on YouTube to get those for free. In terms of the actual gameplay content of Trespasser, it’s probably the weakest of the 3 Dragon Age Inquisition DLC. After the events of the main game are completed, Trespasser fast forwards to a few years following the end of the game and gives you a fairly short epilogue campaign to participate in that’s roughly 3 short dungeons long and features a handful of other sidequests. Trespasser adds a significant amount of story to the game and it sets up the plot of Dragon Age 4. Still, if the Game of the Year Edition is on sale for $19.99, it’s cheaper to rebuy the entire game than to just buy the Dragon Age Inquisition DLC Bundle. Ultimately, the best deal of all is the Game of the Year Edition, but that’s only a good option if you don’t already own the base game. Unless you already have one or two, getting the bundle is absolutely the way to go, since you essentially get 3 for the price of 2. Dragon Age Inquisition: Game of the Year Edition can often be found for $15.99-$19.99, and the DLC bundle is regularly priced down to $11.99.īuying each DLC individually is definitely a bad idea. You might want to wait for a sale, however. If you buy the game of the year edition, which is priced at $39.99, all the Dragon Age Inquisition DLC are included.
